Windows 11 FAQ
Windows 11 will shortly be with us. I have seen lots of things about it on the internet. For example, people panicking on the Avid forums that that Microsoft insists that you sign in with a Microsoft ID to use it – and if you don’t you end up in the “S” version which might not run Avid (not confirmed just a rumour they read) and as they refuse to make a Microsoft ID they will have to abandon Windows entirely and buy a MAC – https://community.avid.com/forums/p/203708/913197.aspx#913197!
Mostly things are conjecture and rumour and we will all find out in October when it is actually released – although MS is unlike to want to upgrade your machine via Windows updates until next year. Here is a decent page with some Windows 11 FAQs in which you may be interested:
