Making subtitles for YouTube

Recently I had to make subtitles for a YouTube video and found the YouTube subtitler rather annoying, so instead opted to make them in another program and upload the results.  In these two videos I look at making subtitles with two different editing programs.  The first is DaVinci Resolve, and works in the free version of the program so anyone can use it. The second is Adobe Premiere Pro.

This video was made with an older version of Premiere Pro.  CC2022 has a better and faster way of doing this, and does a pretty good job of transcribing the subtitles automatically.
